Panda Prasad MLA Alberta state - Canada

Elected in the September 3rd, 2015 by election, Prasad Panda is the United Conservative Party MLA for Calgary-Foothills. Following his election, Prasad is appointed as the Shadow Minister for Economic Development, Trade & Innovation. Under his current portfolio, Prasad has been working hard with Calgary and Alberta business leaders on ideas to improve Alberta’s economy. Currently he is serving as Shadow Minister for Energy.

He is currently a member of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts and has previously served as a member of the Standing Committee on Alberta’s Economic Future. He previously served as critic to the Economic Development portfolio.

A professional engineer by trade, he previously worked in the energy sector for over 25 years, during which time he held management positions with numerous private global companies.

Shivalinga Prasad was born at Sangam Jagarlamudi village in Guntur district. He studied Intermediate at AG & SG College in Vuyyur and obtained engineering degree from Siddharhta Engineering College at Vijayawada.

He is an active member of his community, and his volunteer experience includes serving as president of the Telugu Association of Calgary and as the first vice-president of the India-Canada Association of Calgary.

Challapalli Fort - History of Yarlagadda Zamindars

Challapalli is a village in Krishna district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located in Challapalli mandal of Machilipatnam revenue division. The Rajah of Challapalli, Srimanthu Raja Yaralagadda Ankineedu Prasad Bahadur Garu built this Palace in the early 18th centaury.
