Akkineni Sreekar Prasad, winner of 8 National Awards

Akkineni Sreekar Prasad, better known as Sreekar Prasad, is an Indian film editing professional, known for his works in Indian cinema. He works predominantly on Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and English films. His last National Film Award for Best Editing was for his work on the feature film Firaaq (2008), directed by Nandita Das. He was included in the Limca Book of Records as People of the Year - 2013 for wide contribution to the Indian cinema in several languages and also for holding a record eight National Awards including a Special Jury Award. Sreekar Prasad was a graduate in Literature from University of Madras. He learned the art of film editing from his father in Telugu films. Though he started out with Telugu films, he rose to national acclaim through Malayalam and Tamil films. Mannem Nageshwar Rao was appointed as the new interim director of CBI

M Nageshwar Rao was appointed as  the new  interim director of the Central  Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday. Meanwhile, M Nageshwar Rao, presently a Joint Director in the CBI, has been appointed as the interim director of the investigating agency with immediate effect.  Amid the escalating controversy surrounding the CBI, the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, issued an order dated October 23, 2018, announcing the appointment of Rao as the interim head of the agency Mannem Nageswara Rao is a 1986 batch IPS officer belonging to the Odisha cadre. On April 7, 2016, Rao was appointed as the Joint Director in the premier probe agency for a period of five years. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella Hits $25.8M (Rs.190 crores) In Total Pay

Satya Nadella ’s compensation package rose 29 percent during fiscal 2018, according to an SEC filing. Strong financial growth and leadership in key areas at Microsoft led CEO Satya Nadella to receive an increase to his compensation package of 29 percent in fiscal year 2018. Nadella received total compensation of $25.8 million (Rs.190 crores)  in fiscal 2018 , which ended June 30, according to a proxy filing Tuesday with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. That's compared to pay of $20 million during the previous fiscal year, and $17.7 million in compensation during fiscal 2016. The increase in CEO pay came during a year that saw Microsoft revenue surge to $110.36 billion, up 14.2 percent from $96.57 billion during fiscal 2017. Nadella's pay was based upon both quantitative and qualitative performance, according to Microsoft's proxy filing. Yadlapalli Pranjala clinches Lagos Open Tennis Title

It is her second singles crown Sixth seed Yadlapalli Pranjala defeated 144th ranked top seed Conny Perrin of Switzerland 2-6, 7-5, 6-0 in the final of the $25,000 ITF women’s tennis tournament on Saturday . It was the second singles title for the 19-year-old Pranjala, who has won two $25,000 doubles crowns with Rutuja Bhosale this season. She has six doubles titles overall. After a tough start, Pranjala turned the match around despite trailing 0-40 on her serve at 5-5 in the second set. She then won nine of the 10 points to clinch the set. Hari Kondabolu Win Big at GQ India's 'Men of the Year's Award

Indian-American  Hari Kondabolu  was honored at the 10th annual GQ India Men of the Year awards this year.  These awards aim to celebrate both men and women that “shape the cultural landscape” of the moment. In 2017, Hari Kondabolu described himself as a “comedian going after the biggest comedy of all time” as he took on The Simpsons with his controversial 90-minute TruTV documentary The Problem with Apu. This year, he’s gone all out after everything that’s teeming on the other side of reason in Trump’s America with his Netflix show Warn your Relatives. Stand-up comic, filmmaker, and podcast host Kondabolu has been vocal about representation and importance of diversity.  Kondabolu uses comedy to tackle important topics like race, inequality, identity and the LGBTQ community. Hollywood director Bharat Nalluri

Bharat Nalluri is a film and television director, who came to the fore directing the pilot episodes of Spooks (also known as MI-5), Life on Mars, and Hustle (which he also helped to conceive) all for transmission on BBC One. Spooks won the BAFTA for Best Drama Series. Life on Mars gave Nalluri a BAFTA-nomination for Directing, it went on to win the International Emmy for Best Drama Series. Hustle garnered Nalluri a Director's Guild of Great Britain nomination for Best Director. Nalluri was born in a small village near Repalle, AP,  India. He moved to England at an early age with his family and grew up in Newcastle upon Tyne, where he attended the Royal Grammar School, Newcastle. Satya Nadella , chief executive officer of Microsoft, has been elected to the University of Chicago Board of Trustees. He began his five-year term at the September meeting. “Satya is a distinguished alumnus who brings a wealth of skills and experiences to the Board of Trustees as chief executive of one of the world’s leading technology companies. His global perspective and deep international understanding will provide the board with crucial insights as it focuses on advancing the University’s scholarship, education and impact in Chicago and around the world,” said Board Chairman Joseph Neubauer, MBA’65. “We welcome Satya to the board and look forward to working with him at an important and ambitious time for the University.” Nadella was named chief executive officer of Microsoft in 2014 after holding leadership roles in both enterprise and consumer businesses across the company . GITAM University founder MVVS Murthi dies in car accident in US

Murthy was travelling with four others from California to Alaska to visit a wildlife safari near Anchorage when their car collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction. GITAM University director and Andhra Pradesh state Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Dr Mathukumilli Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Murthi , popularly known as MVVS Murthi, died in a car accident in the United States of America on Tuesday. He also served as Member of Parliament from Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha constituency twice. Murthi along with four others was travelling from California to Alaska to visit a wildlife safari near Anchorage when their car collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction. Four people, including Murthi, died in the accident while one person has been admitted to the hospital in a serious condition, reports reaching here said.
