Abhijay Kodali is among 8 co-champions of US National Spelling Bee

Can you spell history? The 92nd Scripps National Spelling Bee had an epic ending with eight co-champions. The spelling bee was stopped after it went 20 rounds, which included a run of 47 correct words to end the competition. The decision was made after round 17, when it was decided that while there were plenty of words left in the dictionary, there were only enough challenging words for three final rounds. The eight co-champions are: Abhijay Kodali , Rishik Gandhasri, Erin Howard, Saketh Sundar, Shruthika Padhy, Sohum Sukhatankar, Christopher Serrao and Rohan Raja. Praneeta Nalluri named 2019 U.S Presidential Scholars

P raneetha Nalluri of Kansas state have been named 2019 U.S. Presidential Scholars by the White House Commission on Presidential Scholars. The scholars are recognized for their accomplishments in academics, the arts and Career and Technical Education (CTE). The White House Commission on Presidential Scholars selects students based on their academic success, artistic and technical excellence, essays, school evaluations, transcripts, and evidence of community service, leadership and demonstrated commitment to high ideals. Created in 1964, the Presidential Scholars Program has honored more than 7,500 of the nation’s top-performing students. This year, 161 students from across the United States were selected as finalists, according to the U.S. Department of Education.9 Presidential Scholars Program.

Prasad Panda was appointed as Alberta’s Infrastructure Minister in Alberta State - Canada

Panda Panda was first elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta in a by-election on September 3, 2015 as the MLA for Calgary-Foothills. Panda was re-elected on April 16, 2019, as the MLA for the newly formed riding of Calgary-Edgemont. Born in Sangam Jagarlamudi, Andhra Pradesh, India, Panda has lived in the constituency of Calgary-Edgemont for 15 years. An active member of his community, his volunteer experience includes serving as president of the Telugu Association of Calgary and as the first vice-president of the India-Canada Association of Calgary. Panda organizes an annual Food Drive for Calgary Veterans. A Professional Engineer by trade, Panda holds a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering and is a member of APEGA. He previously worked in the energy sector for 28 years, during which time he held Senior Management Positions with Reliance Industries Ltd. and Suncor Energy Inc. Panda was a key member of the Project Management Teams that built world scale

Tarun Cherukuri is among the 20 selected in world as Obama Foundation Fellows

Tarun Cherukuri of Vijayawada has been named as one of the Fellows of Obama Foundation for 2019. Of the 20 Fellows selected this year, 11 are from the United States and Mr. Cherukuri is among the nine from other nations. There were too many aspirants in the race as the Foundation received thousands of applications from over 160 nations and 780 cities from the United States alone. Mr. Chrukuri, along with other other Fellows, is a civic innovator working alongside communities to address the most pressing issues faced by society. Did he think he would make the cut? “I was pleasantly surprised to read about my selection. Though I was hoping for it, I knew that the selectivity rate was 20 among 5000+ applications from across the world. Eventually, I felt a sense of pride for Indus Action and our team being selected to represent India in the cohort,” he says over a phone conversation. Kalanidhi Veerasamy - DMK, son of former minister 'Arcot' N Veerasamy defeated his nearest rival candidate MohanRaj of DMDK by margin over 4,61,000 votes in Chennai North parliament segment. In 2014 T G Venkatesh Babu (Kamma), AIADMK elected from here denied ticket this time.

Ambur by poll DMK candidate A S Vilvanathan wins by 37,088 votes

At the end of the final phase of the vote, DMK candidate A S Vilvanathan is secured 95,504 votes over his nearest AIADMK candidate who secured only 58,416 votes.

Sumanlatha wins by over 1,26,436 votes against Nikhil Kumaraswamy

Independent  candidate  Sumalatha  (Born in Guntur, AP) win this high-voltage contest in Karnataka. She is pitted against Janata Dal (Secular) candidate Nikhil Kumaraswamy, the son of Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy. Sumalatha is the wife of three-time  Congress  MP and film star Ambareesh who died last year. Sumalatha Ambareesh Defeats Nikhil Kumaraswamy, Becomes K’taka’s 1st Independent MP in 52 Years Sumalatha contested as an independent after she was denied ticket by the Congress. The BJP is backing her by not fielding a candidate here. In the 2018 Assembly elections, the  JDS   defeated all eight Congress candidates in Mandya.

Prithvi Raj Yarra ,Andhra cricketer playing for KKR

Prithvi Raj  Yarra   (born 20 February 1998 in Pothukatla, Parchuru mandal - Prakasam district A.P) is an Indian  cricketer .  He made his  first-class debut as a left arm medium pace bowler for  Andhra  in the  2017–18 Ranji Trophy on 6 October 2017.   In July 2018, he was named in the squad for India Red for the  2018–19 Duleep Trophy .  He made his  List A debut for Andhra in the  2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy  on 15 October 2018. In December 2018, he was bought by the  Kolkata Knight Riders  in the  player auction  for the  2019 Indian Premier League .   He made his  Twenty20  debut for Andhra in the  2018–19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy  on 28 February 2019.
