Suneel Cherukuri Named DC’s New Chief Information Security Officer

Washington, DC – Interim Chief Technology Officer Barney Krucoff this week named Suneel Cherukuri as the new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) overseeing cybersecurity for the District of Columbia Government. Cherukuri, who has been working at the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) for 10 years as a contractor and employee, has over 20 years of industry experience in large enterprise network environments specializing in cyber security architecture, design, engineering and operations. Microsoft’s Satya Nadella beats Mark Zuckerberg as best CEO of 2018

Though 2018 has been a year full of scandals and data breaches for tech industry, some employees still praised their executives for their leadership, of which Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella surpassed all. Naveen Kadiyala appointed as the Global Head of Tech Mahindra’s ‘Video Integration and Engineering’ (VIE)

T services firm Tech Mahindra today announced that it was setting up a new ‘Video Integration and Engineering’ (VIE) business unit to leverage cutting edge technology and solutions to cater to the heavy demand of video services in the 5G ecosystem. Video is slated to account for 90% of all 5G traffic on account of mobile video and Over The Top (OTT) streaming services. The company has appointed Naveen Kadiyala as the Global Head of the newly established ‘Video Integration and Engineering’ (VIE). He was earlier CEO, Nuovo Solutions. With the establishment of the new VIE platform, Tech Mahindra would aim to improve its strategic position with several video distribution companies in the United States of America. This will help the company explore emerging technologies to offer cutting-edge video solutions in the 5G market space. 5G is expected to grow the global mobile media market over cellular networks from $170bn in 2018 to $420bn in 2028 ($124bn in the United States)

Archery coach Cherukuri Satyanarayana does yoga mudra, sets world record

Cherukuri SatyaNarayana , founder and chief coach of Cherukuri Volga Archery Academy, created a world record by doing the yoga mudra for 10,832 times in 92 minutes in Vijayawada on Thursday. He formed three different positions of the Yoga Mudra by his arms. At an event organised by the academy, Satya Narayana sat in the position of doing the yoga mudra, and the students of the academy shot arrows at the dart target board above his head. Water Resources Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao presented a certificate of acknowledgement to Satya Narayana for setting the world record. “It is very important to encourage such talent. Also, this less-known sport should be encouraged. By setting this record, Satya Narayana has brought it in the limelight,” said an official of the India and Asia Book of Records.
