Munu Adhi: Former Speaker Tamilnadu Assembly and 4 times MLA

Munu Adhi (Born 4 September 1926, Died 21 June 2005) born at Tambaram near Chennai - Tamilnadu. Mr Munu Adhi started his political career as a member of the Socialist Party in 1945. He joined the DMK in 1953 and was elected to the Tamil Nadu Assembly for four consecutive terms, in 1962, 1965, 1971 and 1977. Having begun his political career with the DMK, the four-time Member of the Legislative Assembly, switched his loyalty to the AIADMK in 1972 when M G Ramachandran founded the party, after breaking away from the DMK. For the fourth time, he was elected to the state Assembly in 1977 when the AIADMK, headed by MGR, came to power for the first time and Munu Adhi was made the Speaker of the Assembly. He held that post till 1980. Kamma girl Vasuki Sunkavalli is Miss Universe India 2011

Mumbai, July 16: Vasuki Sunkavalli, popularly known as Vasuki in the Indian modelling industry, has been chosen to represent India at the Miss Universe contest this year. She says she is confident of making her country proud. "In this competition, I met a lot of people from different parts of the country and from different professions. That was very interesting. I am very confident, hopeful and determined that I will bring the crown back. I will give it my best," Vasuki told reporters here. CVR Telugu news channel started

Another news channel is added in telugu channels list. Image Hospitals Chairman, President - Ameerpet Kamma Sangham Mr.Chalasani Venkateswra Rao is launching another two channels soon. Their first venture CVR News is launched recently. Apart from CVR News Image Broadcasting India Pvt Ltd is going to launch another 2 TV channels in Telugu. CVR Health and Om TV would also be launched in a couple of months. According to sources, Image Broadcasting has applied for another channel based on music. CVR News channel started test signal last month.
