Parvathaneni Harish assumed charge as the Consul General of India in US

Dallas -TX: Dallas Telugu community gathered to welcome Hon. Parvathaneni Harish, the newly appointed Consul General of India in the US at Pasand Irving Restaurant on Saturday, August 11, 2012.

Prasad Thotakura, TANA President introduced Hon. CGI Harish to the gathering as he is the first of person of Telugu origin to assume this highest position in US consulate history.

Hon. Harish grew up in Vijayawada, attended NSM Public School, Layola College and graduated from Osmania University, Hyderabad with a Mechanical Engineering degree.

Challapalli Fort - History of Yarlagadda Zamindars

Challapalli is a village in Krishna district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located in Challapalli mandal of Machilipatnam revenue division. The Rajah of Challapalli, Srimanthu Raja Yaralagadda Ankineedu Prasad Bahadur Garu built this Palace in the early 18th centaury. Then onwards Challapalli became the capital for the Devarkota Estate and the town developed around the palace. It remains as a great example of Andhra architecture to this very day. .
