Cherukuri SatyaNarayana, founder and chief coach of
Cherukuri Volga Archery Academy, created a world record by doing the yoga mudra
for 10,832 times in 92 minutes in Vijayawada on Thursday. He formed three
different positions of the Yoga Mudra by his arms.
At an event organised by the academy, Satya Narayana sat in
the position of doing the yoga mudra, and the students of the academy shot
arrows at the dart target board above his head.
Water Resources Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao presented
a certificate of acknowledgement to Satya Narayana for setting the world
record.
“It is very important to encourage such talent. Also, this
less-known sport should be encouraged. By setting this record, Satya Narayana
has brought it in the limelight,” said an official of the India and Asia Book
of Records.
