Akkineni Sreekar Prasad, winner of 8 National Awards



Akkineni Sreekar Prasad, better known as Sreekar Prasad, is an Indian film editing professional, known for his works in Indian cinema. He works predominantly on Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and English films. His last National Film Award for Best Editing was for his work on the feature film Firaaq (2008), directed by Nandita Das. He was included in the Limca Book of Records as People of the Year - 2013 for wide contribution to the Indian cinema in several languages and also for holding a record eight National Awards including a Special Jury Award.

Sreekar Prasad was a graduate in Literature from University of Madras. He learned the art of film editing from his father in Telugu films. Though he started out with Telugu films, he rose to national acclaim through Malayalam and Tamil films. He has won the National Film Award for Best Editing seven times and owns one Special Jury Award, throughout a career spanning over two decades. Some of the notable editing works of Sreekar Prasad include Yodha (1992), Nirnayam (1995), Vaanaprastham (1999), Alaipayuthey (2000), Dil Chahta Hai (2001), Kannathil Muthamittal (2002), Okkadu (2003), Aayitha Ezhuthu/Yuva (2004), Navarasa (2005), Anandabhadram (2005), Guru (2007), Billa (2007), Firaaq (2008), Pazhassi Raja (2009) and Talvar (2015)

Sreekar Prasad was born to film editor Akkineni Sanjeevi, brother of Telugu film doyen L. V. Prasad.

Munu Adhi: Former Speaker Tamilnadu Assembly and 4 times MLA

Munu Adhi (Born 4 September 1926, Died 21 June 2005) born at Tambaram near Chennai - Tamilnadu.  Mr Munu Adhi started his political career as a member of the Socialist Party in 1945. He joined the DMK in 1953 and was elected to the Tamil Nadu Assembly for four consecutive terms, in 1962, 1965, 1971 and 1977.  Having begun his political career with the DMK, the four-time Member of the Legislative Assembly, switched his loyalty to the AIADMK in 1972 when M G Ramachandran founded the party, after breaking away from the DMK.  For the fourth time, he was elected to the state Assembly in 1977 when the AIADMK, headed by MGR, came to power for the first time and Munu Adhi was made the Speaker of the Assembly. Junior NTR (27) will get engaged with one Narne Lakshmi Pranathi . Narne Lakshmi Pranathi is daughter of TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu's niece Narne Mallika and Narne Srinivasa Rao owner of 'Studio N' TV channel. The engagement will be held in last of Feb 2010, sources said. A road named after Veerasamy Naidu in Singapore

Veerasamy Road - Little India/ Singapore Veerasamy Road was renamed twice in its history; it was originally called Inche Lane, and was renamed Jalan Tambah in 1910. In 1927, the road was renamed again as Veerasamy Road, in honour of Dr N. Veerasamy Naidu (1865-1926), one of Singapore’s first Indian doctors and a leader in the local Indian community. A Road named after Vajendla Venkateswara Rao in Mumbai

V V Rao Marg, Nariman Point, 400021 street is located in the Mumbai City, Mumbai District, Maharashtra state, India was named after Late. Vagendla Venkateswara Rao.   Venkateshwara Rao Vajendla also known as "V V Rao"  (October 12, 1941 - October 21, 1999) was born in  Pamulapadu Village, Guntur District. He served as Chief Fire Officer Mumbai Fire Brigade was awarded President’s Fire Service Medal for Distinguished Service in 26th January, 1997. V V Rao has worked in the fire brigade for 42 years.   For the first time a chief fire officer was given the guard of honour after his death was in 1999, when the chief fire officer was V V Rao. His body was taken in a truck to Shivaji Park crematorium. In October 1999, then CFO VV Rao had died following a cardiac arrest in the civic headquarters.
