ఉమ్మడి రాష్ట్రాల హైకోర్టు అదనపు న్యాయమూర్తిగా జస్టిస్‌ కొంగర విజయలక్ష్మి సెప్టెంబర్ 21వ తేదీన ప్రమాణస్వీకారం చేశారు. హైకోర్టు తాత్కాలిక ప్రధాన న్యాయమూర్తి రమేష్‌ రంగనాథన్‌ ప్రధాన కోర్టు హాల్‌లో ప్రమాణస్వీకారం చేయించారు. కొంగర విజయలక్ష్మి 1960 సెప్టెంబరు 20న జన్మించారు. ఏలూరు సీఆర్‌ఆర్‌ న్యాయ కళాశాల నుంచి బీఎల్‌ పూర్తి చేశారు. ఆంధ్రా విశ్వవిద్యాలయం నుంచి బంగారు పతకం అందుకున్నారు. ఉస్మానియా విశ్వవిద్యాలయంలో ఎల్‌ఎల్‌ఎం పూర్తి చేశారు. 1985 జులై 12న న్యాయవాదిగా పేరు నమోదు చేసుకున్నారు. హైకోర్టు విశ్రాంత న్యాయమూర్తి జస్టిస్‌ ఎస్‌ పర్వతరావు వద్ద అప్పట్లో న్యాయవాద వృత్తి జీవితాన్ని ప్రారంభించారు. ప్రస్తుత సుప్రీంకోర్టు న్యాయమూర్తి జస్టిస్‌ జాస్తి చలమేశ్వర్‌ హైకోర్టులో ఏఏజీగా పనిచేసినప్పుడు ఆయన కార్యాలయానికి అటాచ్‌ ప్రభుత్వ న్యాయవాది(జీపీ)గా విజయలక్ష్మి పనిచేశారు. ప్రభుత్వ న్యాయవాదిగా, సహాయ ప్రభుత్వ న్యాయవాదిగానూ సేవలు అందించారు. హైకోర్టు న్యాయవాదిగా  ఈనెల  21వ తేదీన ప్రమాణస్వీకారం చేయనున్నారు.

Vennam Jyothy Sureskha , Vijayawada archer and Arjuna awardee, has been selected for the World Archery Championship to be held in Mexico from October 15 to 22. She was selected in the selections organised in Sonepat, Haryana on Saturday.  She has secured 7/7 points in the Olympic round and has scored a record 150/150. The selections were conducted in two stages among archers from all over the country.  Surekha stood first and been selected for the World championship, according to information received.

Pranjala Yadlapalli   and Zeel Desai beat Alexandra Walters (Aus) & Rutuja Bhosale 6-2, 7-5 in the final of $15,000 ITF women at Hua Hin, Thailand Saturday.  It was the second doubles title for Pranjala and Zeel. 

Suresh Rayudu Chitturi , Managing Director of Srinivasa Farms, has been appointed Vice-Chairman of International Egg Commission at a meeting held at Bruges in Belgium . Mr Suresh is the second person from India to be appointed on this prestigious Global Body. Mr Suresh will be in this position for next two years. B V Rao of Venkateshwara Hatcheris was the only person from India who got on board of IEC till now, in 1992-93. Congratulating Suresh on his elevation to IEC board, Indian Poultry Industry expressed happiness and hope that this will augur well for the Industry and Farmers in India. IEC is the only organisation that represents the global egg industry with members spanning 80 countries.

Vijayawada's Cherukuri Dolly Sivani , sister of late Cherukuri Lenin, created two records in Archery on Sunday by aiming arrows perfectly in record time in the presence of the representatives of record books, sports persons, officials of SAAP and others at the Cherukuri Volga Archery Academy. She successfully aimed 103 arrows out of 104 in 11 minutes and 9 seconds which is a new record. She successfully hit the target with outstanding perfection and skill in archery. As per the rules 100 arrows are to be aimed from the distance of 10 meters. She did it in 11 minutes and 9 seconds. Indian American Delegate Katragadda Aruna Miller has received an endorsement from EMILY’s List as she vies for the 6th Congressional District seat in Maryland. Aruna, a Democrat, is looking to win the seat being vacated by Rep. John Delaney, who is not seeking re-election to focus on a run for president. “I am so honored to have been endorsed by them. This is big news for my campaign,” Aruna said in the report. Aruna has worked for 25 years for Montgomery County as an engineer. She was first elected to the Maryland House of Delegates in 2010, representing the 15th district as well as serving as a member of the Appropriations Committee.
