Pragati printers wins Sappi International Printers of the Year 2008

Pragati Offset (Paruchuri Narendranath, Managing Director) won the coveted Elephant and ‘SAPPI International Printer of the Year 2008’ award at Cape Town on 3rd October, 2008. The winning entry was our Pragati's own calender, in the category "Printer's Own Promotion". This was the second time that Pragati won this prestigious award - we had previously won it in the year 2006.

Over 6,000 entries were received from participating countries in this year’s four qualifying regional Printers of the Year competitions.

The International competition encompassing all five continents was started in 2001.Pragati has won 10 Golds, 20 Silvers and 6 Bronzes at the SAPPI competition in the past eight years, a feat unsurpassed by any printer in the World.

Challapalli Fort - History of Yarlagadda Zamindars

Challapalli is a village in Krishna district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located in Challapalli mandal of Machilipatnam revenue division. The Rajah of Challapalli, Srimanthu Raja Yaralagadda Ankineedu Prasad Bahadur Garu built this Palace in the early 18th centaury. Then onwards Challapalli became the capital for the Devarkota Estate and the town developed around the palace. It remains as a great example of Andhra architecture to this very day. .
