Sathya Naidu / Sathyanarayanan Sudarsan Naidu (born November 9, 1992) is the first Hindu member of the Seychelles National Assembly . He is also the youngest parliamentarian in the 7th National Assembly.
He was elected from the St. Louis constituency in the 2020 Seychelles Parliamentary Election . Early life Naidu was born on November 9, 1992. His family traced its origins to the Mayiladuthurai district of Tamil Nadu in India, which his grandfather left in 1917.
Satya studied law from APIIT Law School, Sri Lanka in 2016 and then did an LLB (Hons) with Staffordshire University in collaboration with APIIT Law School, Sri Lanka. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in law at the University of Seychelles
From the age of 17, Satya began advocating for the Seychelles National Party ( Linyon Demokratik Seselwa ). According to him, it is President Wavel Ramkalawan's fighting spirit and love of the people that inspired him to pursue politics. He became chairman of the Seychelles National Youth Union and then became a board member of the Seychelles National Party ( Linyon Demokratik Seselwa ) from 2012 to 2014. In Seychelles' 2020 parliamentary elections, he won the St. Louis after receiving 60% of the vote. He is currently a member of the Accounting Committee.
