Sumanlatha wins by over 1,26,436 votes against Nikhil Kumaraswamy

Independent candidate Sumalatha (Born in Guntur, AP) win this high-voltage contest in Karnataka. She is pitted against Janata Dal (Secular) candidate Nikhil Kumaraswamy, the son of Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy. Sumalatha is the wife of three-time Congress MP and film star Ambareesh who died last year.

Sumalatha contested as an independent after she was denied ticket by the Congress. The BJP is backing her by not fielding a candidate here. In the 2018 Assembly elections, the JDS defeated all eight Congress candidates in Mandya.

Challapalli Fort - History of Yarlagadda Zamindars

Challapalli is a village in Krishna district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located in Challapalli mandal of Machilipatnam revenue division. The Rajah of Challapalli, Srimanthu Raja Yaralagadda Ankineedu Prasad Bahadur Garu built this Palace in the early 18th centaury.
