Mrs. Edpuganti (Narla) Vani Rao is the First Woman Mayor, Bilaspur Nagar Nigam, Elected through Direct Election in December 2009.. She is the President, Chamber of Commerce & Industries Women's wing of Bilaspur Division.

Vani Rao is heading an NGO "ABHIYAN" since 1996 which is active in the field of women and child welfare.

She was the President, Chhattisgarh Pradesh Mahila Congress from 2004 to 2011 and Secretary, Chhattisgarh State Pradesh Congress Committee. From 2001 to 2003

Edpuganti Vani Rao born on 1958 at Katni, Madhya Pradesh for the parents migrated from Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh.,

She is the wife of Mr. Edpuganti Ramendra Rao, a businessman.

GrandFather-in-law Late Dr. E. Raghavendra Rao was the First Governor of C.P and Barar, was the member of Viceroy’s council, was First Chairman of Nagar Palika Bilaspur in 1916.

Father-in-law Late Shri Edpuganti. Nageshwar Rao was Senior Co-operative Leader of District and President of District Congress Committee for a decade in early Seventies.

Uncle-in-law Late Shri Edpuganti.Ashok Rao was Treasurer of MP Congress Committee from 1982 to 1985 was first Mayor of Bilaspur Municipal Corporation from 1982 to 1984 was an MLA for two terms from Belha Constituency from 1991 to 1993 and 1993 to 1998 and was cabinet minister.

Uncle Dr.Narla Venkata Raman was a congress MLA (twice) from Badwara Constituency District Katni, from 1972-77 and 1990-1993

CVR Telugu news channel started

Another news channel is added in telugu channels list. Image Hospitals Chairman, President - Ameerpet Kamma Sangham Mr.Chalasani Venkateswra Rao is launching another two channels soon. Their first venture CVR News is launched recently. Apart from CVR News Image Broadcasting India Pvt Ltd is going to launch another 2 TV channels in Telugu. CVR Health and Om TV would also be launched in a couple of months. According to sources, Image Broadcasting has applied for another channel based on music. CVR News channel started test signal last month.
