DST Lockheed Martin India Innovation Awardee and
founder of India Centre for Rural Economic Development Srinivas Gogineni
will attend the South-South Cooperation, Information and Communication
Technology (ICT) and Financing for Sustainable Development Meet, to be
held at Hong Kong, on April 13 and 14, 2014.

Courtenay Rattray and International Organisation for South-South
Cooperation President and Ambassador Francis Lorenzo invited Mr.
Srinivas for the annual conference.
The conference is
being organised by South-South Steering Committee for Sustainable
Development (SS-SCSD), in association with IOSSC and International
Telecommunication Union (ITU).
Representatives from about 60 countries will attend the conference. Business heads, representatives of various organisations, researchers in science and technology and educationists would take part in the two-day meet.
Speaking on Thursday, Mr. Srinivas said a self-designed project on ‘Network of
Technology Business Incubators’ would be presented in the SSC-ICC meet.
Business incubators are currently working in U.S and India successfully.
“The
theme of the meeting is to discuss financing various projects,
implementation of different projects, exchange of technology and trade
ideas, enhancing job opportunities, improving lifestyles in rural areas,
trading, technical cooperation and capacity building for sustainable
development and creating entrepreneurs”, said Mr. Srinivas Gogineni.
IOSSC
would act as a facilitator for bringing together the key stakeholders
from governments, private sectors, international organisations,
investors, markets and the civil society to spur Information and
Communication Technology (ICT), he added.
