PVP teams up with Sachin Tendulkar to promote football

Prasad V Potluri has teamed up with Sachin Tendulkar to buy a Kochi based soccer club as a part of a major football league that's going to begin in India later this year. "It has been an interesting experience interacting with the young, passionate team led by Prasad V Potluri. Based on the various insights shared by the team, the opportunity of the Kochi club seemed like a compelling and challenging proposition," Sachin Tendulkar said, adding, "We are going to play a part in developing the game of football across the country. "

Prasad V Potluri thanked Sachin Tendulkar for agreeing to team up with his firm to enter the soccer league and said, ""We look forward to developing the Kochi club in the Indian Soccer League and are proud to partner with one of India's greatest sportsmen, Sachin Tendulkar, in our efforts. We will tap the potential talent as also channelize the fervor and passion for football across the country to enhance the quality and competitive level of the sport." PVP Ventures, headed by Prasad V Potluri, is one of the largest investors of the country in media and entertainment industry and is listed on the BSE and the NSE. PVP was one of the bidders for Hyderabad team of IPL in 2012.

Challapalli is a village in Krishna district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located in Challapalli mandal of Machilipatnam revenue division.
