Mohan Bodduluri Honored with Leonardo da Vinci Award

Restoration Robotics, Inc. announced Aug. 7 that co-founder Dr. Mohan Bodduluri has been honored with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Leonardo da Vinci Award, which recognizes eminent achievement in the design or invention of a product that is universally recognized as an important advance in machine design.

The Leonardo da Vinci Award, presented Aug. 6 at the ASME International Design Engineering Technical Conference, honors excellence and innovation in engineering in the spirit of 14th-century inventor Leonardo da Vinci.

The award is granted annually by ASME, a not-for-profit professional organization that promotes international collaboration and excellence across engineering disciplines.

At Restoration Robotics, Bodduluri was closely involved with the development of the ARTAS Robotic System, an FDA-cleared, physician-controlled, computer-assisted technology for hair transplantation.

Prior to co-founding Restoration Robotics, Bodduluri was vice president of R &D at Accuray Inc., a market leader in robotic radiosurgery.

Prior to joining Accuray, the Indian American conducted research in computer-aided design and manufacturing under a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of California, Davis.

Bodduluri received his bachelor of technology degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, his M.S. from the University of Pennsylvania, and his Ph.D. from the University of California, Irvine, all in the field of mechanical engineering.

Challapalli Fort - History of Yarlagadda Zamindars

Challapalli is a village in Krishna district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located in Challapalli mandal of Machilipatnam revenue division.
