Hyderabad: CELKON delegation calls on Chief Minister A delegation led by Managing Director Y.Guruswamy Naidu and Murali Retineni, Executive Director, Celkon Mobiles Private Limited called on the Chief Minister Sri N.Kiran Kumar Reddy here at Camp Office this evening and said that they wanted to set up its mobile handsets manufacturing unit at Maheshwaram in their own land with projected investment of Rs.500 crores in the first year. The Chief Minister directed the officials to examine their proposal and assured to extend all possible assistance from the Government.
Sri T.S.Appa Rao, Prl Secretary, Industries, Sri K.S.Jawahar Reddy, Secretary to Chief Minister and other officials were also present. Sri Guru stated that they have a fully equipped R & D office located in Cyber towers and currently having China and Taiwan's Original Equipment Manufacturers as technology and manufacturing partners. They are also projecting an employment of approximately 2500 people through their unit establishment.
