Asheesh Boyapati Eliminated in 2nd place of The World Series of Poker Circuit St. Louis Main Event

Asheesh Boyapati, a software engineer who took up poker last year and who plays only recreationally, gained a second place finish. Boyapati’s exploits saw him pocket $87,927 in prize money.

Cartwright has begun the final duel between Asheesh Boyapati with a huge advantage, 6.8 million chips face to the 2.1 million of Boyapati. His ascension to the throne was more than evident. By finishing in the runner-up place, Boyapati won $ 87,927 while Kyle Cartwright was awarded the first prize of $ 142,290 and access to the big championship in May.

Asheesh Boyapati has only two entries in the Hendon Mob database -- but both are final tables. In March, he finished 7th in the $3,125 Main Event at the Chicago.
