Visakhapatnam, 15th Nov: Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad has been nominated member of the University Grants Commission Central Hindi Language Implementation Committee.
The committee will oversee the implementation of Hindi language in 31 Central universities and also look into starting Hindi departments in various universities and examine their functioning.
It will also review Hindi computerisation, records, correspondence, organisation of conferences and appointment of officials for implementation of Hindi and other aspects.
While Dr. Lakshmi Prasad will lead the committee, there are four other members drawn from Kendirya Hindi Parishad, and the departments of Home, Human Resource Development, and UGC.
