HYDERABAD: Naturol Bioenergy will be shipping its first biodiesel cargo to Europe about one week from now, according to local media reports. Naturol Managing director and CEO Bhaskar Chalasani told journalists the 10,000-tonne (11,000-ton) cargo will be sold at about US$1,350 a tonne.
Naturol has reportedly acquired access to jatropha and oil seeds planted on 5,000 hectares (12,355 acres) of land in the state of Andhra Pradesh through contract farming.
The company is also looking at acquiring another 40,000 hectares (98,842 acres) of plantations in Indonesia and East Africa.
