Chennai gets new Collector Kakarla Usha

CHENNAI 30 May: Kakarla Usha is appointed collector of Chennai on Friday, as part of a minor reshuffle of babus by the state government. Usha, additional commissioner in the city corporation, has been transferred and posted as Chennai district collector.

She was transferred a year ago to Nilgiris as collector but the government reversed its decision as the Chennai corporation required her services for some more time.

Challapalli Fort - History of Yarlagadda Zamindars

Challapalli is a village in Krishna district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located in Challapalli mandal of Machilipatnam revenue division. The Rajah of Challapalli, Srimanthu Raja Yaralagadda Ankineedu Prasad Bahadur Garu built this Palace in the early 18th centaury.
