Pranjala Yadlapalli wins Girls singles ITF Title

CHANDIGARH: Pranjala Yadlapalli won the girls singles title, in the ITF Juniors Grade-3 World Ranking Juniors Tournament at the Sector 10 Tennis Stadium. Overnight rains delayed the start of the finals.

In the girls singles 7th seed Thai girl Bunyawi Thamchaiwat played some aggressive ground strokes and moved Pranjala Yadlapalli from one corner to another taking the set at 6-3. In 2nd set Pranjala fought back and matching every shot that 7th seed hit. Pranjala kept her cool and took the set at 6-2. In the third and final deciding set Pranjala took an early 3-0 lead. After this she maintained her lead and lost only 3 games to win the final set at 6-3.

Junior NTR (27) will get engaged with one Narne Lakshmi Pranathi . Narne Lakshmi Pranathi is daughter of TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu's niece Narne Mallika and Narne Srinivasa Rao owner of 'Studio N' TV channel. The engagement will be held in last of Feb 2010, sources said. Interestingly, Narne is just 18-year-old and class 12th student of Nazar Junior College of Hyderabad.

G. D. Naidu (Gopalswamy Doraiswamy Naidu) was an Indian Inventor and engineer who is sometimes referred as the Edison of India. He is credited in manufacturing the first electric motor in India.
