Nagarjuna won the Best Actor 'Nandi Award' for 2006

For his compelling portrayal of the title role in the movie ‘Sri Rama Dasu’, Nagarjuna won laurels as the best actor in the Nandi Film Awards list announced here on Wednesday. Mahesh Babu's ‘Pokiri’ was adjudged the best popular feature film providing wholesome entertainment. Gunnam Gangaraju (also a Kamma) was adjusted for the Special Jury Award (Amma Cheppindi).

A road named after Veerasamy Naidu in Singapore

Veerasamy Road - Little India/ Singapore Veerasamy Road was renamed twice in its history; it was originally called Inche Lane, and was renamed Jalan Tambah in 1910. In 1927, the road was renamed again as Veerasamy Road, in honour of Dr N. Veerasamy Naidu (1865-1926), one of Singapore’s first Indian doctors and a leader in the local Indian community. Dr N Veerasamy Naidu was born in 1864. He was the son of Narayanasamy Naidu and Ramanuja Ammal. He learned Tamil from the age of four from his grandfather, Kuppusamy Naidu. He studied English at the Raffles School in Singapore and first worked at the lawyer’s office of Mr Cook. Unsatisfied in his job and drawn to the study of medicinal herbs, he decided to pursue an education in medical science and eventually worked in a hospital owned by Govindasamy Naidu. Muktyala fort ‘Harihara Vilas’ Amaravati: The temple town of Amaravati was once ruled by Raja Vasireddy Venkatadri Naidu . He was the man behind establishment of Jaggayyapet and Achammapet on behalf of his parents. He ruled up to 552 villages and towns located on borders of Krishna district including Madhira, Khammam, Kalidindi, Kondapalli, Kondaveedu, Vinukonda, Ponnuru, Nizampatnam and Palivela near Rajahmundry. CVR Telugu news channel started

Another news channel is added in telugu channels list. Image Hospitals Chairman, President - Ameerpet Kamma Sangham Mr.Chalasani Venkateswra Rao is launching another two channels soon. Their first venture CVR News is launched recently. Apart from CVR News Image Broadcasting India Pvt Ltd is going to launch another 2 TV channels in Telugu. CVR Health and Om TV would also be launched in a couple of months. According to sources, Image Broadcasting has applied for another channel based on music. CVR News channel started test signal last month.
