Four new High Court  J udges took oath of office on Monday. With this the Andhra Pradesh high court has 18 judges against a sanctioned strength of 37. The Andhra Pradesh high court chief justice J K Maheswari administered the oath of office and secrecy to R Raghunndana Rao, Battu Devanand, Donadi Ramesh and Nainala Jayasurya Ramesh , a native of Chittoor, graduated from SV College, Tirupati. He practised for more than two decades in the AP high court and served as government pleader from 2000 to 2004. He earlier served as a standing counsel for Sarva Siksha Abhiyan.

Humpy Koneru of India is the winner of the 2019 World rapid chess championship which ended on Saturday evening in Moscow.  The winner of the women’s rapid was determined in a playoff that ended with Humpy Koneru beating Lei Tingjie in the Armageddon. Humpy had stopped playing chess for nearly two years from 2016 to 2018 because she became a mother. But within a year of returning to the game, she has won a prestigious title. The FIDE Women’s World Rapid Championship was a 12-round Swiss tournament taking place from December 26-28 in Moscow, Russia. M icrosoft CEO Satya Nadella earned $42.9 million in total compensation for the fiscal year 2019 -- 66 percent raise from the prior fiscal year, the company has announced. Nadella  received a $1 million base salary jump and an increase in stocks. "Nadella's strategic leadership, including his efforts to strengthen trust with customers, drive for a company-wide culture change, and successful entry and expansion into new technologies and markets,"  Microsoft's  independent directors said in a proxy statement  released  on Wednesday.

Khammam MLA Puvvada Ajay Kumar appointed as the Transport Minister of the Telangana State. After swearing in ceremony, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao allotted the department to the new Ministers. Ajay was allotted the Transport portfolio by the Chief Minister. Khammam MLA Puvvada Ajay is the first-time Minister. He was elected as an MLA first time in 2014 on the Congress ticket.
