Dr Madineni Venkat Ratnam won prestigious Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar award

Dr Madineni Venkat Ratnam of the National Atmospheric Research Laboratory, Tirupati won the prize under the Earth, Atmosphere, Ocean and Planetary Sciences category. Madineni Venkata Ratnam,   was born on January 21, 1973 in Armoor, Nizamabad Dt, India. Son of Madineni Ramayya and Madineni Aademma. Cherukuri Ravishankar appointed as Monsanto India MD

Monsanto India, a subsidiary of Bayer group, has appointed Cherukuri Ravishankar as the Managing Director for its businesses in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. This is the first major change in Monsanto India after German pharma and chemical major Bayer AG had in June this year completed the $63-billion mega deal to acquire the US-based biotech major Monsanto. According to a company statement, Ravishankar will replace Shilpa Divekar Nirula, who now moves on to a senior leadership position at the parent company Bayer. However, she would continue to remain as a non-executive director of the company. “Ravishankar, who has earlier been a non-executive director of the company, has been instrumental in conceptualising and implementing strategic initiatives in commercial and modernising supply chain operations of the company,” the statement said. He brings with him 21 years of experience across multiple functions, including commercial, strategy and supply chain.

Parvataneni VenkateswaraRao CEO State Bank of Mauritius

The second largest bank in the Mauritius, State Bank of Mauritius appointed Parvateneni Venkateswara Rao , as Acting Chief Executive   Officer who takes the reins left by Raj Dussoye, the Chief Executive Officer who submitted his resignation last month. In the SBM Bank circles, it is explained that the rise of Parvateneni Venkateswara Rao is logical and natural. In the absence of Raj Dussoye, he was in charge of the day-to-day management of SBM Bank. Before the formalization of his new responsibilities, Parvateneni Venkateswara Rao held the position of Head of Financial Markets within the bank. Vijay Naidu First CEO For Construction Industry Council Fiji

Vijay Naidu has been named Chief Executive Officer for the Construction Industry Council, Fiji. He is the first CEO for the Council that was previously run by committee, chaired by its President Gordon Jenkins. Another first for CIC is moving into its new office on the campus of Fiji National University at Samabula scheduled for the October 4. Mr. Naidu has extensive experience in the construction industry that includes General Manager- Properties for Tappoo Group of Companies and Chief Financial Officer for Tabua Investments (developers of Denarau). Rajiv Movva won Davidson Fellows Scholarship

The Davidson Institute for Talent Development has announced the 2018 Davidson Fellows. 18-year-old Rajiv Movva of San Jose won a $10,000 Davidson Fellows Scholarship for his project, SNPpet: Deep Learning the Human Epigenome Reveals Regulatory Sequence Patterns and Genomic Mechanisms of Disease. He is one of only 20 students across the country to receive this honor. Nalagampalli Papudesi Chengalraya Naidu (6 Aug 1915 – 31 Jan 2012) born at Nalagampalle village near Chittoor, AP on August 6, 1915 to N. P. Venkataswamy Naidu and N.P.Savitri.  N.P. Chengalraya Naidu , known for his straightforward nature and political acumen, was the first Chairman of the District Board, Chittoor and also Member of Madras Legislative Council 1953-54. Thothala Narayanaswamy Manoharan (S/o T.L. Narayanaswamy Chowdhry ) was born in April 1956 in a freedom fighter's family near Vellore, Tamilnadu with agricultural background .
