Justice Kuppuswami Naidu Veeraswamy (Kuppuswami Naidu Veeraswami) was Chief Justice of Madras High Court from 01-05-1969 to 11-03-1976 Born at Srivilliputtur, on April 8, 1914 of respectable parents belonging to a middle class family, the Hon’ble Chief Justice K.Veeraswami had his early education at Sriviliputtur and Devakottai and graduated from the American College at Madurai, with high distinctions in 1937. He took his degree in Law in 1939 from the Law College, Madras. He was an apprentice to Mr.K.Rajah Ayyar, the then Advocate General and after enrolment as an Advocate of the Madras High Court in 1941, he served as his junior till 1950. He was appointed as the Government Pleader of Madras High Court and in February, 1960 he was elevated as a permanent Judge of the High Court of Judicature at Madras and ha been elevated to be the permanent Chief Justice of Madras High Court from May 1, 1969. Former television journalist Nirmala Naidoo will represent the Liberal Party of Canada in the next federal election. She was nominated on Tuesday by members of the Calgary Rocky Ridge Federal Liberal Association, according to a news release. “I am thrilled to represent the Liberal Party of Canada in Calgary Rocky Ridge,” Naidoo said in the release. “Having been in the living rooms of Calgarians for nearly a decade, I believe that Rocky Ridge residents need someone who can hear their concerns, and be their voice in Ottawa. I look forward to the hard work I have ahead of me in 2015 to earn their support.” Naidoo spent nearly 20 years as an anchor in Calgary with CBC and Global Calgary. She announced her plan to enter federal politics last month.

Narasimhan administered the oath of office and secrecy to Tummala Nageswara Rao , on the lawns of Raj Bhavan appeared to be confined to the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti and officials as leaders from none of the Opposition parties were present. He was given the portfolio of Roads and Buildings and also Women and Child Welfare. Thummala Nageswara Rao was born in Gandugula Palli village of Dammapeta Mandal Khammam District. He served as excise and road and buildings minister in the Chandrababu Naidu cabinet has currently taken oath as a minister in KCR's cabinet. He was elected thrice to Assembly from Sathupalli Constituency and once from Khammam. In 2014, he lost to Ajay Kumar Puvvada from Khammam constituency. He had  had recently joined the TRS and he is not a member of either Assembly and legislative council. He was likely to be nominated to the legislative council.

Earlier, rising 17-year-old Hyderabad shuttler Ruthvika, continued her impressive run by stunning fourth seed Arundhati Pantawane, on a comeback trail after a shoulder injury, 19-21 21-18 21-14 in the 50-minute long women's singles final. It was the second time that Ruthvika had beaten her more experienced rival, having come out trumps in their previous meeting in the senior ranking tournament at Gandhidam in October.
