KBC 4 – Jwala Gutta to sit on Hot seat of KBC!

Sony TV is garnering a good number of TRPs with its recently launched show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ season 4 as its original host Amitabh Bahchan returned this season. The latest reports suggest that Indian badminton player Jwala Gutta , who was hitting headlines recently for good and bad reasons, is going to be quizzed by Big B on KBC as she on hot seat very soon. Recently, there was report that the leading ladies of television will take part in a special episode of KBC. Now, there is a buzz that Jwala will be the first sports personality to be quizzed by Big B this season. A source was quoted saying that recently KBC has shot episodes with some leading sports personalities like Ashwini Ponappa, Leander Paes, Sushil Kumar and S. Sreesanth. During the recently concluded Commonwealth Games, Jwala and Ashwini bagged gold medals for badminton.

NSL Launches its branded apparel Constello

Hyderabad, Oct 30 : NSL Textiles (Mandava Prabhakara Rao, chairman) part of the Hyderabad-based NSL Group, has launched its branded apparel 'Constello' in the market today. At a glittering function here, Telugu cinema NTR launched the apparel brand. Beginning with 11 stores in Andhra Pradesh, NSL is planning for a rapid expansion in South, Central and North India. The company aspires to have pan India presence by 2013 with full family experience, which include women's wear and kids wear. NSL textiles seeks to generate Rs 500 crore revenue in branded apparel business. NEW DELHI: India's number one ranked women chess player Koneru Humpy on Saturday alleged that she has been overlooked for the upcoming Asian Games in Guangzhou next month. A day after the All Indian Chess Federation (AICF) announced that world champion Viswanathan Anand and Koneru Humpy have pulled out of the Asian Games, the winner of two gold medals of 2006 Doha Asian Games, Humpy minced no words in saying that given a chance she would have loved to represent India. "I have not pulled out of Asian Games but denied an entry. I wish the federation could have shown some respect to international players and their prior engagements," an upset Humpy said. EVM activist Hari Prasad Vemuru wins prestigious US award

Hari Krishna Prasad Vemuru revealed security flaws in EVMs. Mr. Prasad is the first Indian to receive the prestigious award. The San Francisco-based Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), a leading civil liberties group, will confer the 2010 Pioneer Award on researcher Hari Prasad, who was recently released on bail after having been jailed for his security work on electronic voting machines. “Hari Krishna Prasad Vemuru is a security researcher in India who recently revealed security flaws in India's paperless electronic voting machines. NTR fans, TDP protest 'Raktha Charitra'

HYDERABAD: While an uneasy calm prevailed in the faction-ridden Anantapur district, NTR fans, TDP leaders and workers kicked up a furore over Ram Gopal Varma's controversial film `Raktha Charitra' which portrays former chief minister N T Ramarao as a man who encouraged violence. The film was released all over the state on Friday. The film mainly deals with three-decade-old faction feuds in Anantapur district portraying the violence unleashed by the warlords. While Shatrughan Sinha plays NTR, Vivek Oberoi plays the role of former minister Paritala Ravi, who was allegedly assassinated by hired killer Moddu Seenu. Another character was that of Paritala's arch rival Maddela Cheruvu Suri, who spent several years in jail for his involvement in the Jubilee Hills bomb blast case in which Ravi escaped an attempt on his life.
