WALTHAM, MA -- Pixily, an online document management service (Prasad Thammineni - CEO) for small businesses, has been selected as a finalist in the 2009 AlwaysOn Global 250 Competition in the Cloud Computing and Infrastructure category. The AlwaysOn Global 250 represents the best in emerging technologies and innovations. Companies are nominated by a panel of industry experts in the online technology, media, entertainment and other fields. This year's competition placed special emphasis on companies upon which new industries, jobs and economies will be built.
"We are honored to be included among the AO Global 250 this year," said Prasad Thammineni, Pixily CEO. "The other finalists in this competition are really pushing the boundaries of what is possible using the power of cloud computing. We adopted Amazon's cloud back when it was in beta, and have been using it ever since to provide document scanning services, online document management, and full-text search capabilities for our clients' paper. The power of the cloud is enabling us to create solutions for people's paper that would have been impossible a decade ago."
Small businesses and consumers now use Pixily to manage their paper and digital documents online in Pixily's secure document management portal. Customers send their paper documents to Pixily in pre-paid boxes and scanvelopes(TM), and Pixily scans the paper, makes it fully text searchable, converts it to PDFs and stores the paper in a secure online document management portal that customers use to find, organize, share and download their paper and digital files.
